Holiday Gainz Challenge


GAINZ, yep you heard it right.  Let’s make some gainz over the holidays and start the New Year off ahead! How about we look forward to the holidays knowing we have a plan to stay on track!

GAINZ: an increase in stamina, strength and plain weight training awesomeness.

Holiday and Gainz sound good now!  So, how can we make this happen? What about all the late night parties, the great food and drinks?

We’ve got your back, and that’s why we’ve put this challenge together!

The holidays are such a fun time with lots of activities and yummy food!  You should enjoy all the things you love during the holiday season and this can be done while staying on track with your goals.  

We have put together this fun but simple (because you don’t need anymore stress) challenge to motivate and help keep you on track through the holiday season!  

Here are the details:

November 25th through December 31st

  • Log your food in My Fitness Pal at least 6 days a week
  • You will have a recommended daily calorie amount with percentages of macronutrients.  
  • You may go over your numbers, your only task here is to log your food.
  • With an emphasis on making healthy food choices but having flexibility as well and eating in moderation.

  • Get at least 45 mins of exercise 6 days a week
  • This can be in or out of the gym.

  • Drink half your body weight in ounces of water per day 

  • Choose one movement in the gym that you would like to improve on and practice skills and progressions for that 2x a week for at least 10 minutes
  • You can utilize open gym for this or the 10 minutes of warm/cooldown time at the gym.

  • Have fun and don’t be too hard on yourself!

  • *Weekly check ins with Lyndsey and Kim, holiday tips and tricks to stay on track, help with choosing a movement to improve on and progressions to do so, macro adjustments, weekly challenges and much more! 

    *Everyone will receive an INBody scan at the beginning and end of the challenge (you can opt out of this if you choose). The test provides a comprehensive view of the body composition balance (weight, skeletal muscle mass, body fat percentage and body fat mass).

    *You will be given points for the daily and weekly tasks, the person with the most points at the end will receive a $50 amazon gift card and one month free at the gym!
